
Problem is they record at ever so slightly different speeds, I've checked recording frequencies and I think it's just the way it is.Īnyway, how I solved this is to match up the two audio files in Audacity at the start of the recording. I record my voice audio when I'm playing a game on Audacity and I use my phone camera to record me and then sync them up afterwards and don't use my phones mic recording. Hello there, I had exactly this same issue when I first started making videos. And there is a tool in Audacity for stretching or shrinking the length of a recording, so I use that tool to make the Audacity recording the exact same length as the OBS recording. And that audio track will line up perfectly with the video track (but will be of slightly lower quality, which is why I use the Audacity recording instead). My solution is that in OBS, even though I don't use it, I record audio there as well. Not the end of the world, but I still want to remove it. In my case, in like a 2 hour recording I would get maybe a second of drift. Since I record audio and video with two different programs, I always get audio drift.
